Villano III, the ring name of Arturo Díaz Mendoza, was a highly respected masked Mexican professional wrestler. Public sources indicate that he debuted on January 29, 1970 and later adopted the Villano III identity as part of the Villano wrestling dynasty. He worked in notable periods for UWA, CMLL, and AAA, as well as on the independent circuit. His career was marked by his reputation as a skilled rudo and by his success in lucha de apuestas, where he won the masks and hair of several well-known opponents. One of his most memorable career moments was his major rivalry with Atlantis, including their mask match in 2000. He also appeared in significant tag team and family-related bouts with other members of the Villano lineage. He retired from active competition in 2015 due to health issues and died on August 21, 2018.
