Rey Misterio

Rey Mysterio is the ring name of Óscar Gutiérrez, a Mexican-American professional wrestler trained in the lucha libre tradition. His televised WCW debut took place in 1996, when he appeared at The Great American Bash and challenged Dean Malenko for the Cruiserweight Championship. During that era, he became one of the most influential names in the cruiserweight division, with memorable rivalries against Eddie Guerrero, Psicosis, and other standout performers. He later joined WWE, making his WWE debut in 2002 and expanding his legacy with major accomplishments: he won the 2006 Royal Rumble, captured the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 22, and also earned world, Intercontinental, United States, and tag team titles. WWE identifies him as a key figure in aerial wrestling and an emblematic star of Mexican wrestling heritage.
