Octagon

Octagón is one of the best-known names in Mexican professional wrestling. His career began in the early 1980s, after he debuted under other personas before settling on the Octagón identity. During his most prominent era, he stood out in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre and, especially, in AAA, the promotion he became strongly associated with from its founding in 1992. Among his most memorable moments is his alliance with El Hijo del Santo in the famous rivalry against Los Gringos Locos, a program that helped bring Mexican wrestling greater international visibility. He has also been part of major matches at Arena México and other top venues. AAA inducted him into its Hall of Fame in 2011. The sources reviewed do not confirm a formal retirement; in fact, he continues to appear in recent shows as an active legend wrestler.
