Mystic

Místico is one of the most recognizable figures in modern Mexican lucha libre and is publicly identified with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). According to CMLL’s official biography, he began in 1998 as Dr. Karonte Jr., later wrestled as Astro Boy, and adopted the Místico character in 2004, the stage that brought him major prominence. That same year he won La Gran Alternativa and also scored an early major victory alongside Volador Jr. against Ántrax and Ébola. In 2005 he captured the NWA World Middleweight Championship, and in 2006 he won Black Warrior’s mask in CMLL’s 73rd Anniversary show. CMLL also documents more recent milestones, including the 2022 Universal Championship, the CMLL World Light Heavyweight Championship, and tag-team and trios titles in 2019 and 2025.
