STORY AND HIGHLIGHTS
Mil Máscaras is the ring name of Mexican wrestler Aarón Rodríguez Arellano, a landmark figure in classic lucha libre and one of Mexico’s most influential masked stars. His career began in the mid-1960s and took him through several national and international promotions. WWE describes him as one of the great legends of Mexican wrestling and notes that, in 1972, he became the first masked wrestler to perform at Madison Square Garden. He was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012. Over the course of his career, Mil Máscaras built a reputation for an athletic style, the heroic masked persona, and numerous tours and exhibition appearances outside Mexico. Public sources also place him among honored figures recognized by the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and in events featuring other lucha libre icons.
